Stefan Skiba is a rather unknown artist, I found out about him and his work through discovering one of his catalogues in an art shop. He is German and was born in 1961. As soon as I looked through the book I instantly felt an admiration for his work. As with many of the artists I have created blog posts on Stefan Skiba is another one who’s work has inspired my own and is similar in some ways. His style consists of cut-out like graphics that are screen printed onto paper. With very few shapes and usually only monochromatic colours he is able to portray people and scenes in an engaging way. He also works in drawing and sculpture which both carry on the same style of his screen printing work.
Here are some examples of his screen print, sculpture and drawing work.
